iPhone users hates iOS 7

Brighter colors and flat icons just aren't for everybody. That said, it seems that iPhone user Mark Menacher hates them much more than anyone else. CNET reports that Menacher has actually filed a suit against Apple in small claims court and is asking the company to let him remove the iOS 7 install file from his iOS devices. Menacher is particularly irked that the upgrade to iOS 7 happened automatically and that he has no way of going back to iOS 6.

Apple's disregard for customer preferences in relation to iOS 7 is corporate thuggery, he explained. Steve Jobs was reportedly rough on company employees in pursuit of happy customers, but Tim Cook apparently cultivates a culture of contempt for customer satisfaction in pursuit of corporate profits. It is a policy that will eventually fail.

It's true that iOS 7 can be rather jarring for some longtime iPhone users when they first install it although many have gotten used to it after using it for a few weeks. For Menacher and those like him, however it seems that nothing short of a return to the skeuomorphism of old will do.

Apple's iPhone 6 to feature a bigger 4.8-inch display next year

With the iPhone 5s to launch later this month, industry watchers are now turning up the heat as they sniff around for details on next year's iPhone 6, and now another report from a well-respected source suggests Apple is indeed is finally getting ready to satisfy critics and launch a smartphone with a larger screen.

Jefferies and co, analyst Peter Misek on Monday issued a research note to investors in which he reserved course on Apple. Misek previously had a Hold rating on Apple shares with a $450 price target, but he is now bullish on Apple's prospects. As a result, Misek upped his target to $600 on Monday morning and slapped a buy rating on Apple's stock.

There are a few reasons for the analyst's change of heart, one of which is that his supply chain sources indicate that Apple is getting more favorable prices from its component suppliers. This is a change from Misek's position earlier this year and if accurate. It would obviously boost Apple's bottom line. Beyond margins, however the analyst says Apple is finally going to cave and launch an iPhone 6 with a bigger display.

Despite still seeking risk to CQ4 and FY13 revs, we now believe better gross margins will Apple to skate by until iPhone 6 launches with its 4.8 screen, Misek wrote in the note. We est 50% of smartphone shipments have 4 screens and that iPhone 6 will catalyze a large upgrade cycle. The stock is attractive based on the attitude change, FY15 revs +15% and valuation.

Misek has had a few good calls regarding unreleased Apple products in the past and he is considered by many to be among the top analyst covering Apple right now. That certainly doesn't make an iPhone 6 with 4.8 inch display a done deal, but it adds fuel to earlier reports from The Wall Street Journal and plugged in KGI securities analyst Ming-chi kuo.
Apple shares jumped more than 1% on Misek's report.

Chief executive Tim Cook kicked off the event at the company's Cupertino headquarters in California, outlining how he expects Apple to ship the 700 millionth device- an iPhone or iPad-based on iOS mobile software sometime next month.

Mr Cook said: with iOS7, iOS will become the world's most popular operating system.

Pranav Mistry is the Indian brain behind the Samsung's Galaxy Gear samrtwatch

Samsung has recently unveiled its new product category of Smart watches with its code named as Galaxy Gear. This wasn't a well kept secret with features and even photos of a prototype leaking days before the official launch event. But there is one secret that anyone don't know behind the Galaxy Gear. Meet Pranav Mistry who now heads the think tank at Samsung's Research America Division. For those who may recall, Mistry's claim to fans is his Sixth Sense technology, which was also documented in a TED talk that has recieved over 1.5 million views.

Pranav Mistry is a Phd candidate at MIT's Media Lab and Research Assistant. He was born in Palanpur in Gujarat. He completed his masters of design from IIT Mumbai and followed it up with another masters degree in media arts and sciences from MIT. He also worked as a UX researcher with Microsoft.

Our ttime is time for crossing boundaries, a time for rethinking and revising old categories. I think the future of our dugital world is not just about giving a new face, a new form to our existing digital devices. Itis the creation of new experiences, new ways of interacting with real and digital,  Pranav mistry said at the launching of the Galaxy Gear Smart watch.

The Galaxy Gear smart watch is a good beginning for Mistry of making his concept of sixth sense in technology a reality. The first generation Smart watch has some nice touches that one can instantly recognize to be coming directly from Mistry. The Galaxy Gear has sensors that can decipher if the user is moving the watch close the ear in the event of an incoming call and automatic recieves the call.

We have uniquely positioned the speakers and microphone so that you can talk as you would talk to the hand. it is such a national gesture, just raise your hand to ear and talk.

The Galaxy Gear in Mistry's mind is a marriage of a simple user experience with cutting edge technology. The goal was to make it well a wearable.
Whether the Galaxy Gear becomes a runway hit or not is something that the market would decide. But it seems Mistry has finally found an avenue to make his dream a reality in the hands of millions of users. Lets have a look on his famous TED talk.

FEATURES OF ANDROID KITKAT 4.4

Google has not explicitly said anything of Android, its Android kitkat page has many thins to say about the upcoming OS.
Now Google is gearing up with their next version of Android, which is named as Android 4.4 KitKat however, it has not explicitly announced the features of the next Android vesion.

Curiously, it has created a website of Android KitKat which has several statements that point to many things in the upcoming operating system. Here is a list of such possible features of the Android 4.4 that Google has mentioned on Android KitKat webpage.

Attractive looking new user Interface: every corner, every edge, every finger, of every bar has been carefully considered and crafted to create this beautifully immersive and multi-sensory experience, "Google has said on the website which possibly hints that the Android KitKat would bring a new user interface where every sides of the device can be used to navigate something that Sony's Touch UI, currently employs. Also it can be interpreted as standardize experience irrespective of the device's screen size be it smartphone, phablet or tablet.
Better utillisation or multi-touch features and grsture control could be also on the cards, as per our analysts.

Eye Candy it really does tastes a good as it looks, Google went on to say on the page while explaining the design of KitKat chocolate. Google wants to transfer the user interface of Android with the new OS to something new that would be attractive than the windows Tile user interface.

Cloud Integration : Android operating system has been heavily criticized for not having a comprehensive back up and security features as iOS with Apple's iCloud, one can restore many functions in a new iOS device like game progress, app installs, emails, text messages, account sign-ins, pictures, settings and much more in just one touch.

On the country, in Android you can restore your apps, emails, pictures, etc but that is not an easy process. For instance, if you sign into a new Android device, you will be asked to sync the device with Gmail to restore your contacts, emails, calander and even applications. But it does not do so in case of messages.
But with Android 4.4 KitKat Google is perhaps eyeing something innovative if its statement- Cloud Based.. A taste sensation that will leave you up in The Cloud- is to be interpreted.

Enterprise solutions: BlackBerry devices has been hailed for its security and its Balance technology enables BlackBerry smartphone and tablets to be used for business and personal purpose without compromise. Hiting at the adoption of similar technology, Google on the Android KitKat webpage said, with global coverage you can take it literally everywhere, even to work.

Other feature: Besides Google's words to describe KitKat 4.4 like Edge to Edge display has been interpreted as less distortion towards the edges while Unlimited Standby Time clearly hints at longer battery life.
